The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requires operators who work at mines, quarries, or sand and gravel pits to receive a total of 24 hours of training.
There will be 8 hours of classroom (theory) training and 8 hours dedicated to a field trip to a working MSHA regulated facility.
The members attending this course are also required to take the 8 hour First Aid/ CPR/ AED course to complete the 24-hour training.
