I understand the skilled trade of an operating engineer is a so-called “seasonal trade”, and that I could experience long periods of layoff due to weather and seasons.

I understand that many jobs are in remote areas which require my driving long distances.

I understand that driving to and attending training classes is my responsibility and that PROBLEMS ARE NOT AN EXCUSE, but only a reason.

I understand that I must attend four (4) years of scheduled related training classes as well as scheduled forty (40) hour training sessions on equipment and / or performance tasks related to the trade. This is to certify that I have answered the questions on this application for Apprenticeship Training truthfully, to the best of my knowledge and belief, and I understand that any misstatement by me may void my application or be reason for termination of the application process.
