The Operating Engineers Certification Program is a nationally recognized and accredited program for crane operators.  The purpose of the OECP is to set standards for measuring the knowledge and skill of crane operators. It is strongly recommended that all Local 18 crane operators prepare for and obtain OECP certification. To be certified by OECP, operators are required to demonstrate the appropriate skills and knowledge necessary for safe crane operation.
