I understand the skilled trade of an operating engineer is a so-called “seasonal trade”, and that I could experience long periods of layoff due to weather and seasons.

I understand that many jobs are in remote areas which require my driving long distances.

I understand that driving to and attending training classes is my responsibility and that PROBLEMS ARE NOT AN EXCUSE, but only a reason

I understand that I must attend four (4) years of scheduled related training classes as well as scheduled forty (40) hour training sessions on equipment and performance tasks related to the trade. This is to certify that I have answered the questions on this application for Apprenticeship Training truthfully, to the best of my knowledge and belief, and I understand that any misstatement by me may void my application or be reason for termination of the application process.
