The Richfield Training Site
The Richfield Training Site is centrally located approximately 20 miles south of downtown Cleveland and 20 miles north of downtown Akron in northern Summit county. Built on 42-acres, the original 8400-sq.-ft. building was renovated in 2001, and renovated once again in 2018, expanding to meet the needs of our members and the demands of the industry! The breakroom has been enlarged and improved, we added another classroom and more restroom facilities. We also added onto the All Weather Training Building, increasing it to 31,600 square feet! Included in the addition is a welding area and enclosed parking for our Class A CDL truck. The shop is 6450 sq. ft., which includes two full-size work bays, oil storage, parts storage, and a 10-ton overhead crane. Located just outside the all-weather building is a permanent concrete forklift testing and training area. The stone base in the crane area insures that CCO training and testing is always available. The large stone lot just outside of the all weather building, is used for class “A” and “B” CDL training. The remainder of the 42-acre site is used for earth moving, slope work, and trenching.
